VIDEO: Madness At Mt. Smart
Recently Round 4 of the D1NZ Drift series was held at Aucklands Mt. Smart Stadium. The event kicked off during the week with a Charity cruise through the streets of Auckland organised by the guys at D1NZ for cancer patient Daniel Baxter and his family.
After the fun filled day it was back down to business as drivers battled it out for the top honors.

Falken Tire 2012 Formula Drift Testing.
The boys from Falken Tire are out at Charlotte Motor Speedway beginning their 2012 testing. From whats been seen so far its just Vaughn Gittin Jr, Justin Pawlak, and Darren McNamarra rocking the teal and blue. The Mustangs front ends have also been switched over to the new 2013 Mustang fronts.

Daigo Saito’s 2012 Formula Drift Lexus SC430
Daigo has recently been hard at working getting ready for the 2012 Formula Drift season. He’ll be competing in a rumored 1200hp Lexus SC430. The car should be completed soon and brought over from Japan shortly. Daigo should be able to keep up with all the V8′s this year with no problem.

NOS Energy Drink to Continue as “Official Energy Drink of Formula DRIFT” for 2012 Season.
Formula DRIFT has announced that they will continue their partnership with NOS® Energy Drink as the Official Energy Drink of Formula DRIFT for the 2012 Pro Championship Series.
“Formula D embodies exactly what NOS stands for –high performance energy, unwavering mental focus, and aggressive determination,” said Eric Helms, Director of Marketing for NOS Energy Drink. “Through our partnership the past two years, both NOS and Formula D have continued to fortify motorsports credibility and attract new fans. We’re excited for more of the same in 2012.”
This will be the third consecutive year that NOS will be an official sponsor of the Series. NOS will continue to support former Formula DRIFT champion Chris Forsberg into the 2012 season.
“We are excited to have NOS back on board again this yea, “said Jim Liaw, president and co-founder of Formula DRIFT. “Over the last 2 seasons the NOS team has been a great sponsor but also proactive promotional partner. Their presence at each event adds to the festivities for the fans and their promotional support is one of the factors to our continuous spectator growth. Everyone at Formula DRIFT is looking forward to working with the NOS team again this season.”
